Effective or Emotional Communication

Recently, I had a challenge with healthcare. Insurance companies attempted to dictate what medication is best for me based on guess what… money! ADHD…The squirrel is real and it has a family I tend to every moment. The medication is expensive. The insurance prefers the least expensive “alternative”. The side effects…apparently not their concern.
Over the past 2 weeks, I’ve spent hours on hold…hours of my own productive time to drive to the physicians practice and be a patient, patient with a voice…rather than a number. The great news is this. Parallel universes collided as two brilliant young women from two different worlds reminded me of one very important life lesson:
