Recently, I had a challenge with healthcare. Insurance companies attempted to dictate what medication is best for me based on guess what… money! ADHD…The squirrel is real and it has a family I tend to every moment. The medication is expensive. The insurance prefers the least expensive “alternative”. The side effects…apparently not their concern.
Over the past 2 weeks, I’ve spent hours on hold…hours of my own productive time to drive to the physicians practice and be a patient, patient with a voice…rather than a number. The great news is this. Parallel universes collided as two brilliant young women from two different worlds reminded me of one very important life lesson:
To get your message across, you have to find a dynamic way to reach your vast audience of stakeholders, consumers, and competitors. ~ Jill Schiefelbein
To Nina…I say thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty to help me stay healthy. To Jill…I say thank you for the wonderful reminder to continue to check the emotional side of communication and choose the effective side. I appreciate you both!
